Since 1991, the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ) has been promoting globally responsible action. With various projects, we show how everyone can do something for a fairer world. With educational offers and exchange formats, we want to raise awareness among people in Baden-Württemberg about how local action affects global relationships. Through networking and project funding through the funding line works! For partnership projects in Baden-Württemberg, abroad and in Burundi, our team supports private, municipal and regional initiatives to improve and deepen partnerships with a focus on young people and migrant and diasporic actors. A special role is played by AMAHORO! State partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Burundi, which has linked both regions for more than 40 years.
With its platforms, the SEZ offers a space for human encounters, exchange, discussion, education and information. In this way, people with different backgrounds, perspectives and opinions can work together to find solutions that make our world more sustainable and fairer. In our view, the foundation for this is relationships between people and long-term partnerships in which both sides learn from each other. A prerequisite for this is interculturally sensitive interaction, respectful interaction, honest exchange and transparency. Understanding of partnership The SEZ does not exclude anyone, but sees diversity as a pioneer for greater global justice.
