Donated 1.000 euros for projects in Burundi

Klaus Freihart (2nd from left) hands over the donation check to Philipp Keil (1st from right) and Muna Hassaballah (2nd from right) on behalf of the family business Klaus and Matthias Freihart OHG.

Klaus Freihart handed over a donation check for 1.000 euros to the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ). The check was accepted by Philipp Keil, Managing Director of the SEZ, and Muna Hassaballah, Head of the SEZ's Burundi Competence Center.

The Freihart family from Ohmenheim in the Ostalbkreis traditionally sets up a donation box in their “Glühweinstüble” during the Christmas tree sale on their farm. After buying a Christmas tree, she invites customers to this parlor for free cookies, punch and mulled wine. Customers can enjoy the homemade delicacies and, if they want, donate to a project that supports the Freihart family. In 2019 it was the SEZ project work in Burundi. She supports various partnership projects there as part of the partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Burundi.

The fundraising campaign raised 600 euros, and the Freihart family increased the sum to 1.000 euros. In previous years it supported Klaus and Matthias Freihart OHG the children's ward of the Heidenheim Hospital and the Pistorius School for children with disabilities.
