135th Fairtrade School awarded

The Albert Einstein High School in Böblingen received the distinction as a Fairtrade School on March 29, 2021. Raquel Dischinger from the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ) presented the award digitally.

That's it Albert Einstein High School the 135th Fairtrade School in Baden-Württemberg and the first this year to receive this award. 36 schools are currently on the way to becoming Fairtrade Schools. The State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport support the nationwide campaign. The coordination for Baden-Württemberg lies with the SEZ. It is supported by other development policy actors from the country such as Umbrella Association for Development Policy Baden-Württemberg e.V. (DEAB), dem Reutlingen Development Education Information Center (EPiZ), dem Center for development-related educational work of the Evangelical Church of Württemberg, the Institute for Religious Education of the Archdiocese of Freiburg and the MISEREOR diocesan office in Rottenburg-Stuttgart. 

The Fairtrade Schools campaign was launched in 2012 as a unique nationwide educational platform on fair trade by TransFair e.V. Since April 2014, schools in Baden-Württemberg have also been able to receive the award.
