97th Fairtrade School awarded

The high school at the Weissacher Tal education center was recognized as a Fairtrade School at the Fair trade fair on Friday. Suzan Bacher from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture presented the award.

Philipp Keil, the managing director of the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ), referred to the memorable date in his laudatory speech. “Almost exactly five years ago, on April 11, 2014, the starting signal for the Fairtrade Schools campaign in Baden-Württemberg was given by the then Minister of Education Stoch at this very point and since then almost 100 schools in the state have been honored. We are particularly pleased that the current Minister of Education, Dr. Susanne Eisenmann supported the campaign as patron.”

The high school at the Weissacher education center is the 97th Fairtrade School in Baden-Württemberg.
