Tete Loeper's novel “Barefoot in Germany” is about the young Rwandan woman Mutoni and the difficulties and prejudices she encounters after her arrival in Germany. At the reading, the author presented the content of her book, which tells of Mutoni's racist experiences on the market in Germany. After the reading, Tete Loeper explained the connection between racism, nutrition and food. She also emphasized her personal appreciation of healthy eating. Following the reading, the book was available for purchase at the Burundi Competence Center stand and the author was available to answer questions and give dedications. The demand for Tete Loeper's “Barefoot in Germany” was so great that all the books on the stand were sold out within a very short time.
