ESD network meeting – talk to each other and learn from each other

How can we enable people to act sustainably? What experiences do educational actors from a wide variety of subject and action contexts have when teaching ESD? Are there insights, messages or examples that are transferable from which we can learn from each other?

The world is becoming more and more complicated and confusing. In order to develop an understanding of social, ecological and economic connections, a variety of different perspectives are required. Education for sustainable development aims to show connections and effects using a variety of perspectives and make them tangible.

With short impulses and exchanges, we want to jointly explore the added value of education for sustainable development across thematic boundaries, make it tangible and mutually benefit from our experiences.

Network meeting Africa Forum Baden-Württemberg

Welcome to the event “Change of Perspective – Images of Africa as Reflected by Generations”, where established and young voices come together to talk about the diversity and complexity of the African continent.

Africa, often neglected on the world stage, plays a crucial role in global history and present. Using Afrodiasporic speakers, we would like to take an intergenerational journey through time into the past, present and future and tell personal stories.

We invite you to join us in a deep analysis: How have perceptions and interpretations of Africa changed over the generations? Find out more about the cultural and social influences that have shaped this development and be inspired by the personal experiences of our speakers.

Look forward to an open and inspiring discussion afterwards that will stimulate thought and open your eyes to the complexity of Africa. Experience how dialogue between generations opens up new perspectives and creates a deeper understanding of the complexity of this continent.

Be there when we dare to change perspectives together and look at images of Africa in a new way in the mirror of the generations.

The artist Akeva! Malayika, who is at home on stage with her music 'Pan-African Soul', will accompany the event with songs relevant to development policy.

PROJECT CAMP: DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMON GOOD PRODUCT

Make sustainable action in business measurable!

Today we measure the success of the economy almost exclusively with gross domestic product. This metric urgently needs an update!

We demand a common good product that measures people's well-being: from health and satisfaction to social cohesion and distributive justice to political co-decision, ecological stability and the quality of education. That's what really counts for a #goodlifeforall.

Together with you, we want to develop a common good product in these four days that makes the common good measurable and comparable.

You are invited to contribute, discuss and flesh out your own ideas. Together we will come up with innovative solutions! At the end, we will discuss the result together with representatives from politics and business.

Start: September 07th, 2023 | End: September 10, 2023 | Location: Participation Center in Gerlingen | Meals for 4 days: from €60
