2024 is a special year: The AMAHORO! State partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Burundi is celebrating its more than 40th anniversary. We are very pleased to celebrate this anniversary together with you at these events:

We are delighted that we have been able to win Mr. Astère Hatungimana from the Burundian Diaspora in Germany eV as our patron. The BDD eV plays an important role as a bridge builder for the partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Burundi. Thanks to their commitment, the relations between the two regions are flourishing. We begin the evening with the enchanting sounds of the Burundian musician Arthur Niyimpaye.

Inzira ntibara inkuru – On a journey you come across a multitude of stories. Like this Burundian proverb, various stories have been written between people in the more than 40 years of the partnership. We would like to capture some of these stories at this anniversary celebration. In the more than 40 years, civil society has been the heart of the partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Burundi. Look forward to inspiration and insights into the work of the many committed people. We would like to celebrate what we have achieved with you and invite you to make further contacts.
benefit concert:
Together we will close the evening at the benefit concert with the sounds of the chamber orchestra Camerata Europeana, which will be responsible for the programme: This year too, the soprano Tamara Bueno de la Torre with an aria by Handel. You will also hear Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Suite" and Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade". Radoslaw Szulc will conduct the orchestra. Solo highlights will be provided by Anissa Baniahmad (flute), Tamara Bueno de la Torre (soprano), Bernhard Lörcher (cello) and Doren Dinglinger (violin).

With your donation you also support Projects such as “Educational project on sustainable agriculture and microfinance for smallholder farmers in Kirundo and Muyinga in Burundi” of the association Burundi und Wir eV, about which we have enclosed information.
