On the path to global justice

Reflecting and re-adjusting church partnership work and travel

The encounters between North and South, for example as part of a partnership trip, are high points in the church's partnership work. In these shared moments, people come into contact with one another, exchange ideas and experience one another intensively. In doing so, not only expectations and hopes come into contact, but also different life experiences and contexts.

How can civic engagement be promoted internationally? What role do migrant and post-migrant organizations and their experiences in their country of origin and their new home in Germany play? What can joint reflection on this look like in encounter programs and partnership work?

The seminar aims to create spaces for reflection. Representatives of partnerships, migration and diaspora organizations, the church and civil society will participate in the discussion.

The participants can exchange ideas with other partnership groups from the church in a practical way and pursue relevant questions.

Date: Friday, 27.9 September from 16:00 to Saturday, 28.9 September at 16:00 in the Hospitalhof Stuttgart
