Since the last BW-Burundi peace conference in 2019, the political and social conditions in Burundi and the world have changed. Armed conflicts are increasing worldwide, with unpredictable consequences. In light of these developments, many peace actors are asking themselves:
“How can there be peacebuilding initiatives while the conflict is still ongoing?”

The BW-Burundi meeting of the SEZ brings people together, creates encounters and enables exchange. It is an opportunity to see partners and friends of the AMAHORO! country partnership again and to get to know new people. In order to ensure a pleasant environment for everyone involved, emphasis is placed on a mindful, discrimination- and power-sensitive approach to one another.
