Feminist struggles for more equality and participation have been part of all societies for many centuries - but the discourses are mostly shaped by "Western" feminisms. In the digital event series "Feminist Development Policy: Women's and LGBTQI+ Rights Worldwide", gender equality is examined from a global perspective, examples from countries in the Global South are shown and elements of a feminist development policy are presented.
Reproductive justice means that all people have the right to control their own bodies and have access to the resources and services necessary to make self-determined decisions. It is about ensuring that all people have the opportunity to make decisions about pregnancy, birth, contraception and abortion freely and without discrimination. Reproductive justice also includes protecting people's sexual and reproductive health and access to quality health care and information.
Speakers will be announced later.
Moderation: Dr. Friederike Beier
