Anti-Muslim racism (AMR) is deeply rooted in history, the media, and society. In this workshop on November 22, 2025 (10 a.m.–16 p.m., including a break), we will explore its historical development, the current situation in Germany, and its connection to, among other things, antisemitism. Using examples such as Hanau and Halle, we will reflect on repeating patterns and what we can learn from them. Using interactive methods, we will raise awareness of racism, promote critical thinking, and develop sustainable action strategies. The focus of this workshop is to develop empathy and look beyond one's own (Eurocentric) perspective. A reflection phase and concluding round provide space for exchange and feedback.
