NOT OUR DEVELOPMENT! VISIONS OF THE FUTURE OF YOUNG INDIGENOUS ACTIVISTS IN PERU

“We are here, we are loud because you are stealing our future!”
Young indigenous activists would certainly loudly echo this call of the young climate activists in Germany. Their future is massively threatened by a development model for which the indigenous territories are primarily an opportunity for overexploitation and not a place to live.
What role do youth play in defending the rainforest and indigenous ways of life? What is your perspective on the future? What do you expect from the “Global North”?
We speak to indigenous representatives from three regions of the Peruvian Amazon.
Spanish and German with simultaneous translation into German.
