OCEAN FESTIVAL

The OCEAN GALLERY in Stuttgart is celebrating its first anniversary and invites you to OZEANFEST, a two-day event that not only celebrates the gallery's anniversary, but also World Oceans Day.

Friday June 7th | Film evening & panel talk at the Delphi Cinema in Stuttgart.

Screening of Patagonia short documentaries “The Custodians” and “Madre Mar”.

Afterwards, Lisa Babak from German Environmental Aid, Dr. Lena Kopp from the Institute of Nutritional Medicine at the University of Hohenheim, as well as Julia Ochs, marine photographer and founder of the OCEAN GALLERY, with other experts on the topic of overfishing. They discuss possible solutions for better ocean protection and open questions in a Q&A with the audience.

The event is free. Tickets for seat reservation are available here. Places are limited.

Saturday June 8th | Diverse program

12 p.m. – 16 p.m. | “Waves of Change” expo and children’s program

At the “Waves of Change” Expo, NGOs and local initiatives share their knowledge and present their work. The children's program is fun and educational with interactive activities that allow you to discover the marine world in a playful way.

17 p.m. | Gallery tour

Tour of OCEAN GALLERY with founder Julia Ochs. Be inspired by fascinating images of the marine world and discover its beauty and diversity in the photography exhibition.

18:30 p.m. | Ocean Quiz
With the entertaining ocean quiz from Pro Ocean you can test your knowledge of the world's oceans and win great prizes.

Marine poetry | Reading with Fabian Kamper from his book “OceanLyrik”

Experience a thrilling live report from the internationally award-winning nature photographer Stefan Christmann about the icy beauty of Antarctica and the life of emperor penguins. Tickets for seat reservation are available here.
