ANTI-WITCHCRAFT ACCUSATIONS CAMPAIGN 2020

In Nigeria, witch-hunting of children is a widespread and cruel reality. Christian pastors, community elders and family members accuse the children, who are subsequently rejected, tortured or even killed. The Anti-Witchcraft Accusations Campaign 2020 includes the implementation of theological seminars for pastors that examine the belief in child witches from a Christian dogmatic perspective and provide insights into the basics of child development stages. The participating pastors should be trained to become multipliers so that they can carry out similar campaigns in their communities and thus put a stop to the witch hunt. At the same time, the population is called upon in district meetings to rethink their approach to the witch children.
