The Feyelschule from Ebnet and the Annexe/ENEP school from Gaoua in Burkina Faso have maintained a partnership since 2014. In order to give Freiburg students a vivid picture of Africa, free of prejudices and clichés, Mr. Evariste Sib, the teacher responsible for the partnership, will travel to Freiburg in October 2019. As part of his stay in Freiburg, he will take part in school lessons at the Feyelschule and report to teachers, parents and children about everyday life in Burkina Faso. In exchange with the teachers from the Feyelschule and the Freiburg University of Education, the topic of reading promotion and the Mathelino program, an early support program in mathematics, are also discussed. The aim of the project is an intercultural exchange of ideas and activities in school pedagogy, which should lead to more tolerance and openness.
