BERNET is a non-profit organization with the aim of connecting the country's universities and providing universities with affordable internet connectivity.
BERNET currently has 15 member institutions connected to the Internet. In order to carry out this task, BERNET currently has to use the services of an infrastructure operator. These cause high monthly costs that limit the bandwidth provided. The aim of the project is to procure some of the required infrastructure components in order to significantly reduce the monthly costs for Internet access.
