This emergency aid project for corona prevention and education is aimed primarily at Yazidi, internally displaced people in the refugee camps around Dohuk.
The aim is to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the camps. For this purpose, people are informed in small groups and educated about the importance of basic infection protection measures. Misinformation will be corrected. Corona awareness is a matter of trust: The social workers live in the camps themselves, have years of experience and enjoy an excellent reputation locally.
The project includes printing brochures and posters as well as distributing mouth and nose protection (MNS) masks.
The project meets an urgent need; So far there is hardly any independent information about Corona in the camps.
