DARB.. ONE WAY: ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT FOR GIRLS

“DARB” means “one way”: it is about empowering girls in Egypt, strengthening and motivating them in environmental education and social engagement. We achieve this through regular online meetings and on site in various nature reserves. With the concepts of global learning and ESD we aim at personal appreciation, work on the topics of nature reserves and let the girls grow their autonomous appreciation and self-esteem. We want to through Offering new learning platforms and, especially through practical experience on site, creating socio-ecological transformation and developing environmental responsibility among girls.
Places of implementation: Egypt: Online meetings and six national parks distributed in Egypt “one of them under water”: in Sinai (St. Katherine, Nabq, Abu Galoum), Salouga in Aswan, Wadi El-Rayan in Fayoum and Wadi Degla in Cairo
