FARMER MANAGED NATURAL REGENERATION (FMNR)

The main content of the project is training for local farmers in the “Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration” (FMNR) reforestation technique in two villages in the Uvinza district in Tanzania, as well as agricultural training. The long-term goals of the project are to reduce the deforestation of natural forests in the region or to contribute to reforestation, to improve soil fertility and to provide people with new sustainable incomes through increased agricultural production and the renewed tree population.
