Improving the living conditions and household income of project participants through improved cultivation and sales of agricultural products and firewood. 150 small farmers are being trained in the use of the Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration reforestation method. No young trees are planted, but existing tree trunks, which have already been cut down several times for firewood, are specially pruned and protected. Due to the existing root system, these tree trunks sprout again very quickly and can soon be used. This is how farmers harvest firewood; They are also trained to use the positive influences of trees on their degraded farmland, to practice sustainable agriculture and to sell surpluses.
