The project aims to improve food security and economic self-sufficiency of disadvantaged displaced and host communities in Batil/Dohuk Governorate.
The project provides 40 vulnerable households with livestock (sheep) and consumables (feed). It supports families in maintaining and increasing their livestock through specialized training in agriculture and farm management. In cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the project also offers veterinary services and consultations.
Long-term community support is being built through local village committees and in collaboration with local community leaders. A revolving fund system is being established, whereby beneficiaries return a small portion of their acquired livestock over time to be donated to other disadvantaged households in their community.
