Community-led integration of Yazidi women from IOP and host communities into a selected community through the creation of economic opportunities.

Given the unmet needs and vulnerabilities of Yazidi IDP women and other vulnerable women and girls in Dohuk Governorate, IOM proposes the implementation of measures to facilitate the integration of vulnerable women and children in selected communities in Dohuk by providing economic opportunities and activities to promote community economic development over a 12-month period. This will be achieved through the following:

  • Improving economic opportunities for 30 women (IDPs and HC) through business consulting, skills training, labor market integration support, or business support packages tailored to market needs.
  • Promoting local economic development through improving/developing existing value chains and building/rebuilding business premises as part of a community assistance project (wool).
  • Continuous community support through the Information, Advisory and Referral System (ICRS).
