Given the unmet needs and ongoing vulnerabilities of Yazidi internally displaced women (IDPs) and other vulnerable women and girls in Dohuk Governorate, IOM proposes to implement activities that facilitate the inclusion of vulnerable women and children in a selected community in Dohuk by providing economic opportunities and activities aimed at promoting local economic development over a 12-month period. This will be achieved through the following measures:
- Improving economic opportunities for 30 women (IDPs and HC) by providing business consulting, training, labor market integration support or business packages according to market needs.
- Promoting local economic development through the improvement/development of existing value chains and the construction/renovation of commercial premises within the framework of a community assistance project (Wool).
- Ongoing community support through an Information, Counseling and Referral System (ICRS).
