GLOBAL MATCH FOR ENGINEERS

GlobalMatch for Engineers is a digital workshop series for students and teachers of engineering disciplines that offers participants space and knowledge to reflect on their own experiences in a postcolonial context. An introductory workshop introduces postcolonialism and power-critical perspectives. This is followed by workshops on the topics: The role of the engineers in (post)colonialism, Double manipulation of the worker in capitalism, Connection between mobility infrastructure and (post)colonialism, Digital global value chains and Systemic pressures and limitations of engineers. The aim is for participants to gain an understanding of the effectiveness of postcolonial power structures and racism on personal, social and structural levels.
