The main goal of the project is to improve the livelihoods of initially 110 women in the Villa Lamadrid slum in Buenos Aires (BA) by generating income and increasing their level of knowledge regarding healthy nutrition. The main pillars of the project are the construction of a demonstration and training kitchen with simple cooking areas powered by solar energy, training of the project participants (participants) in the areas of “healthy nutrition”, their cooperative organization and the construction of smaller, solar energy-powered cooking areas in the inner courtyards or on the roofs of their dwellings. With the above-mentioned measures, the participants take on a multiplier function in Villa Lamadrid, where an estimated 20.000 people live.
