HELP FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDERS

[color=black]In the capital of Burkina Faso, a large number of people with mental disorders live on the streets. There they are exposed to multiple dangers: They are victims of traffic accidents, suffer violence from the public or themselves pose a danger to others when they attack people because of their illness. [color=black]With this project, the CNDE in Ouagadougou offers comprehensive care for mentally ill people, initially medical treatment until their condition is stabilized. Social support is then important for the journey back to their families. In return, the patients receive professionally oriented training that will enable them to earn a living in the future. Radio broadcasts are also being carried out to educate the population.
