Hope through Community: Poultry Farming for Children with Intellectual Disabilities and Their Families

The "Hope Through Community in Poultry Farming in Burundi" project supports children with intellectual disabilities and their families by building an inclusive community. Poultry farming is at the heart of the project, teaching the children social interaction, a sense of responsibility, and practical skills. Families are connected and involved in community activities, strengthening cohesion and sharing. Working with the animals offers participants a sense of achievement and strengthens their sense of belonging, which improves their well-being and quality of life. Furthermore, the project contributes to combating hunger and poverty, breaking down social barriers, and fostering partnerships and a supportive environment.
