The aim of the measure is to establish a basic and sustainable psychosocial care structure in Northern Iraq, particularly in the Sinjar region and Dohuk. The continuation of the outpatient clinic in Sinjar and the establishment of a center for addiction support and psychotherapy in Dohuk will ensure continuous medical and psychotherapeutic care for traumatized refugees and the local population. The goal is to stabilize the mental health of those affected and strengthen their resilience by providing comprehensive therapy and support services. This includes individual and group therapies, psychoeducational programs, and medical consultations. In addition, the center in Dohuk will offer specialized help for people with addiction disorders, including motivational discussions, medication counseling, and support from interdisciplinary specialists. The measures are intended to ensure sound and holistic healthcare and contribute to stabilizing living conditions in the region.
