The project aims to provide economic opportunities for 50 girls from the Kabezi district, and specifically from Gakungwe Hill. Most of the girls in this village were victims of slavery in Arab countries, having been trafficked into forced labor. They were exploited and abused: harassment, forced labor, beatings, sexual violence, humiliation, etc. Some have managed to return home – albeit with trauma. The project aims to support them in becoming self-reliant, economically independent, and self-sufficient.
