Schools have been closed due to Covid since February 2020. State online platforms and TV programs for distance learning are offered, but many children and young people are unable to access them. There is a particular lack of internet, computers or television to be able to participate in this form of learning. But there is also often a lack of capacity within families to adequately support their children in this form of learning, especially in exam preparation. The learning support and exam preparation project is offered in the Berseve I&II internal refugee camps for 160 students in the 9th and 12th grades. For this purpose, subject-relevant teachers from the camps are employed. The measure is carried out by a local partner who is already active and networked in the community by running a child protection center in these camps. The measure will be implemented in small groups and under Covid safety measures.
