MASKS FOR THE IDP CAMPS IN NORTHERN IRAQ

This emergency aid project for corona prevention and education is aimed primarily at Yazidi, internally displaced young women in the refugee camps around Dohuk. The aim is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the camps and to inform and educate people about necessary infection protection measures. The project includes the printing of brochures and posters and the production of a total of 6000 textile mouth and nose protection (MNS) masks by Yazidi seamstresses in the camps. The MNS are successively handed out by employees of the 'Jinda' Center as part of their educational work in the camps. The project meets an urgent need, helps people to help themselves and offers Yazidi women an opportunity to work.
