Like many rural regions in Bolivia, the municipality of Achocalla is very sparsely populated and has very poor infrastructure. The level of education of the local population is low and there are only a few schools, which are poorly equipped and the teachers are often poorly trained. The corona pandemic and the associated school closures and the lack of lessons have meant that the children have had no lessons at all for almost two years and an enormous gap in knowledge has arisen. As part of this project, an attempt is being made to fill this gap with a type of mobile classroom and to introduce children and young people to written texts again and to take away their fear of books.
