SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT NEEDS PEACE – A WORKSHOP TO BUILD PEACE COMPETENCES

Sustainable development can no longer be imagined without the topic of peace. Violence and armed conflict are among the greatest threats to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It's not just the Global South that is affected - countries like Germany are also facing peace policy challenges. Multipliers in development education work and civil society actors are increasingly confronted with these challenges in their work. In a one-day workshop, we teach the basics of peacebuilding and practice methods for dealing constructively with conflicts. Participants experience peace as something that can be concretely shaped and can incorporate new perspectives and skills into their work contexts.
