PROSPECTS FOR WOMEN IN BEKHAR

As part of the “Perspectives for Women in Bekhar” project, the environmental and training center is to be supported in building and setting up a sewing workshop. Since 2018, young women have been able to complete a two-year training course to become tailors locally. However, employment prospects in the region are inadequate and the environmental and training center continues to rely on financial support. The aim of building a sewing workshop is to offer the women employment prospects after completing their training, as well as to enable the environmental and training center to take a step towards financial independence with the income from commissioned work and sales in the region and to visitors .
