The distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE), along with a health education program targeting vulnerable families and high-risk groups in Dohuk Governorate and coordinated with the Dohuk Health Department, aims to help reduce the percentage of new COVID-19 cases and limit the spread of the virus, especially among these groups.
CAPNI, in coordination with the Dohuk Health Department (DOH), will target high-risk groups in the Dohuk Governorate. High-risk groups include people with low immunity, such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases, cancer patients, and those with blood disorders.
CAPNI is supporting the DOH Dohuk by providing PPE kits (consisting of masks, gloves, alcohol sensitizers, and disinfectants) to be distributed to the target groups (approximately 500 people with risk factors).
In addition, a short session will educate beneficiaries about COVID-19, including how to properly use the PPE kits and its important role in preventing COVID-19.
As part of the project, our doctor will examine the suspected cases among the participants and refer them for a test for COVID-19.
To carry out the above-mentioned activities, the DOH Dohuk will second a public health doctor to work in the Department of Preventive Medicine, in coordination with CAPNI, which will remunerate this doctor.
CAPNI will also provide the necessary logistics such as transportation, printing costs and others.
