PROJECT TO STRENGTHEN FOOD SECURITY

The project aims to strengthen the resilience and food security of vulnerable agricultural, pastoral and agro-pastoral communities to climate change. The project builds on the efforts of several existing Greening Burundi initiatives on natural resource management, reforestation and agroforestry, while increasing its focus on the impacts of climate change (resource degradation, food insecurity) and aims to strengthen communities' capacity to respond Prepare for climate change. The project will focus on activities aimed at mobilizing and supporting communities to implement concrete adaptation measures by addressing desertification and land degradation in order to improve their living standards.
