The Ovungu Health Centre is the only ‘health centre’ in this district authority of more than 18.000 residents, and its roof is becoming increasingly fragile and is leaking water in this region with heavy rainfall.
Since the reconstruction of this centre, managed by our southern partner Caritas Développement of the Diocese of Tshumbe, is not possible due to limited financial resources, we would like to renovate the roof in order to offer patients and nursing staff a minimum of acceptable hygienic conditions and to avoid nosocomial contagion of those most at risk of diseases.
