The project “Retorno – Restart!” supports those children who fall through the system in rural areas of Nicaragua: illiterates, school dropouts, system breakers. More specifically, these are children and young people from ten villages who reach the two book buses from Puente Nica every week. When the bus arrives in the villages in the morning, the children are still at school - but not all of them. Those who drop out of the education system early have no chance of qualified work and a secure income, especially in marginalized areas like Cristo Rey. It is therefore very important to us to bring these children back into the local school system with a tailor-made educational project and to encourage them to make a new start.
