RENOVATION OF IRRIGATION CANAL: PROMOTION OF AGRICULTURE, WORK FOR LOCAL POPULATION

The primary objective of this project (rehabilitation/reconstruction of the irrigation canal in Nahla village) is to enable the local people of the region to remain in their original homeland by providing enough irrigation water for their farms, which will help them generate a sustainable income .

Direct impact on the target group:
1. The people of the region who live there do not emigrate and leave their country
2. Many abandoned farms are being farmed again and crops are being grown again.
3. Increase in the number of people dependent on animal husbandry due to additional water availability

Project services:
1. Reconstruction of two kilometers of irrigation canal
2. 10 daily workers from the targeted region will receive income from working on this project
3. Renovation of one of the bridge arches of the irrigation canal

Activities:
1. Recruit/hire project staff
2. Prepare the list of services/specifications for the renovation of the irrigation canal and bridge arch
3. Create a proper implementation plan
