This is the indigenous village community of Pampa Verde. 80 families live here. The village is about a three-hour drive from the provincial town of Satipo, on a gravel road in good weather and then on a forest path that is only used when it is dry. There is no electricity, no health post and no school. The children have to walk about an hour to school in the next larger village. The next health post is two hours' walk away in the village of Alto Pitocuna. The families are committed to getting the state to finally set up a small preschool (kindergarten) there.
