Improving the diagnosis and care of celiac disease in children and adolescents in Mongolia

The project aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of celiac disease in children and young people in Mongolia. The core elements are the development of a nationwide diagnostic network, training for medical and educational professionals and awareness campaigns. Standardized diagnostic procedures are intended to optimize reliable early detection. The project promotes the integration of affected children into everyday school life and supports their families in overcoming the challenges. The strengthening of the parents' initiative "Mongolian Celiac Disease Association" and the new online platform create sustainable support structures. The aim is to achieve a long-term improvement in the quality of life of those affected and increased awareness of celiac disease in Mongolian society.
