IMPROVE THE NUTRITION OF CHILDREN WHO ARE WITH THEIR MOTHERS IN CENTRAL PRISON

The project “Improving nutritional intake of children accompanying their mothers to prison” aims to reduce hunger and malnutrition among children and their mothers in the MPIMBA Central Prison in Bujumbura. The project aims to grow rice. The project is income-generating because production is divided equally. Part of this will go to 42 children and 47 mothers in this prison to combat the acute malnutrition that these beneficiaries suffer from. Another portion is sold and used to purchase basic foodstuffs, which in turn are reinvested in the project to ensure its sustainability.
