The project aims to improve emergency health care for pregnant women in Burundi, where access to health services is often difficult, especially in emergencies. The use of two electric motorcycles will enable fast, mobile and cost-effective interventions. The motorcycles, equipped with medical kits, will also reach remote areas. The vehicles' batteries are interchangeable and can be used locally, enabling a sustainable infrastructure. The project is being carried out jointly by DHBW Stuttgart and the RUSI Polytechnic and Retraining Center and includes tasks such as determining the equipment, developing apps for data storage and training young people in the field of battery technology.
