On the grounds of the Mundenhof in Freiburg, the Weltacker is an educational center for sustainable development that enables objective and sensual experience of regional and global connections relating to the topics of agriculture, nutrition and climate protection for children, young people and adults. Through a variety of experience- and action-oriented educational formats such as field tours, workshops, public events and a self-explanatory course, visitors are made aware of the conditions and consequences of their own consumption of agricultural products such as food, textiles and energy. The educational offerings encourage the consumption of regional, seasonal, organic and fairly traded food.
