ECONOMIC RESILIENCE OF WOMEN WITH DISABILITIES AFFECTED BY FLOODS

The aim of the project is to improve food security and increase the living standards of women with disabilities affected by the floods in the GATUMBA area of Bujumbura province. The project covers agriculture (rice cultivation), food (consumption of some of the rice) and the sale and repair of a broken peeling machine, in order to enable the beneficiaries to become self-sufficient, but also to ensure the continuity of the project after its completion to ensure SEZ financing. Overall, we intend to help the most vulnerable disabled women meet other needs after all their belongings were washed away by the floods.
