The village of Gohbal on the north side of the Sinjar Mountains in Ninawa has no access to drinking water. After a decade in displaced persons camps, around 100 families, up to 600 people in total, have now returned to part of the village of Gohbal. In order to ensure the reconstruction and resettlement of the families, the supply of drinking water is a key aspect. In order to ensure access to clean drinking water, one of the existing, but defective, boreholes must be repaired as quickly as possible. Only then can the survival of the returning families and the sustainable development of the area be successfully ensured.
