INSTITUTE WATER FOR AFRICA EV

For us, water-related issues are a challenge that we face. We don't pull ready-made recipes out of our pockets: we rely on adapted technologies and methods. A solution is good if it fits the people and the local conditions. Our areas of work are water supply, wastewater, irrigation and drainage, WASH and seminars on our areas of work.

IMPROVING WATER AND BASIC HYGIENE SERVICES IN 5 VILLAGES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF NDUBA

A water pipeline will be built to a large-capacity water source in the mountains about 9,5 kilometers away. The water is transported to the villages using gravitational force, ensuring a more cost-effective and sustainable supply. The 2937 families in the community in which the water project is being implemented have previously obtained their drinking water from sources that dry up in summer. For some villages the nearest source is very far. The women and children walk 4 to 6 kilometers every day to fetch water, which is often not drinkable. This water is detrimental to their health as water-borne diseases are common in the area.
