The German migrant self-organization Uthukumana was founded in 2019 in the wake of the cyclone and its subsequent devastating destruction in Mozambique. It is committed to combating climate change, to information and educational work in partnership in Germany and Mozambique and to combating natural disasters in Mozambique with its local partner AMARC. On the initiative of AMARC, we want to offer educational and action opportunities for children and young people in a very Initiate and carry out environmental education and community and capacity building in the heavily affected rural region of Mozambique to combat climate change and natural disasters in the period January to July 2023. In doing so, we want to prevent further environmental destruction and expand local resilience.
