The Green Institute in Kloto aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and environmental protection in the Kloto region, Togo. The project includes comprehensive training for local farmers to teach them the principles of organic farming and permaculture. Awareness campaigns are designed to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development in communities. In addition, the project will support young entrepreneurs by helping them develop and implement green business ideas. This will improve people's livelihoods and reduce negative environmental impacts.
This is done in partnership with the Austrian Forest Garden Institute.

In many rural regions of Togo, poor hygienic conditions and a lack of access to clean drinking water affect the health and ability of the population to work. Around 3.000 people currently live in the village of Atchavé. They draw their daily water mainly from the Avato River or stagnant water in the area. The local elementary school and college also do not have access to clean water.
As part of the project, a deep well with three tapping points is to be built in Atchavé in order to give the population access to clean drinking water close to home. A water committee is formed and trained.
In addition, a prevention campaign is being carried out in order to have a lasting positive influence on the health of the population.
