Mine. Your. One World. a review

Mine. Your. One World. 2017 comes to an end - a look back

29 municipalities and one district took part in the Meine initiative from September 1st to October 31st. Your. One World. During this time, 366 events took place throughout Baden-Württemberg. They all showed that everyone can do something for a sustainable and fairer world.

In Mannheim, for example, the reading and discussion “People Make Clothes” was about a journey through global textile production, full of very personal encounters. A book that primarily tells about the people who seem so far away, but actually aren't, because we carry their work on our skin every day.

From Bad Waldsee to Stuttgart and from Engen to Schwäbisch Gmünd, the Meine initiative. Your. One. World has shown how many people in Baden-Württemberg are involved and committed.

All participating municipalities, districts and participating local actors can take part in the initiative's competition with their program. There are nine prizes up for grabs with a total prize money of 30.000 euros. State Secretary Theresa Schopper will award it at a celebratory award ceremony on November 29, 2017 in the Marble Hall of the New Palace in Stuttgart.

About my. Your. One World.

The initiative, which was launched by the SEZ in 2006, has taken place six times so far. In total, almost 90 municipalities in Baden-Württemberg took part, many of them several times. Together with their municipal institutions as well as civic, church and private initiatives and those committed to development policy, they offered over 1.600 events. The aim is to raise awareness of global issues, encourage responsible actions in everyday life and strengthen local networks. Mine. Your. One World. is part of the SEZ Partnership Center and takes place as part of the One World Promoter Program.
